We flew to Oklahoma to spend a little time visiting Ryne’s family over the weekend. After a four hour flight delay and tantrums all around, we made it to the Sooner State around one o’clock in the morning. In spite of our travel troubles, we had a lovely trip filled with pastimes reminiscent of Ryne’s childhood. The smell of German pancakes mixed with bacon and jokes floating around a big kitchen table in the morning. Pushing Quinn on a swing hung from an old oak tree in the backyard and playing catch in the heat of the afternoon. Sweet iced tea and long evening walks. Games of pool, late night chocolate malts, and endless entertainment watching our daughter play with her Granny and Pawpaw. Our hearts are full.
