Valentine’s day is the saving grace of the tail end of winter. February is basically ice in month form, we’re in the “everything is chaos” phase of spring cleaning, and we’re likely still a month away from our first 60 degree day. But a few fresh flowers, a little chocolate, and some bright decorations make it feel like spring is just around the corner! I love to make the kids a small color coordinated V-day basket with a book, chocolate, and stickers. This year we added some balloons using leftover helium we had in the garage and the kids LOVED it! Ryne and I are going out tonight for our annual Mexican food Valentine’s Day date and we’ll definitely be making heart-shaped treats through the end of February.
