We took Quinn to Paris for the first time in May of 2013 when she was just 9 weeks old. It was a little wild trying to navigate our new lives as parents and Europe at the same time, but I wouldn’t trade our memories from that trip for anything. Last fall, we took Quinn back to Paris for a new round of less sleep-deprived European adventures. I remember this trip so fondly, but truth be told I couldn’t bring myself to blog about it in wake of losing our first of two babies. I want the pictures from our trip to find a home on the pages of this blog so that one day Quinn can look back on and enjoy them. So I’m throwing it back- better late than never.
Our trip last October began in Florence, where we recovered from our jet lag for a few days and loaded up on carbs before taking the train to Paris. In contrast to Quinn’s first trip to Paris (when I sweat my way through the city with an infant strapped to my chest), the weather was magnificently cool and misty.
The metro and an umbrella stroller were our best friends for getting around the city. We took Q to see all of the places that made us fall in love with this beautiful place (plus some!)- from the Paris street markets to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Montmarte to Notre Dame. We sipped coffee on our favorite street corners and watched the world go by. We even took her with us to a cooking class where we honed our lack luster pastry-making skills. Quinn managed to sleep through the whole thing.
