Happy Thanksgiving week! Quinn is home from school all week and I am so looking forward to snuggling her extra long in our Christmas jammies tomorrow morning. We have big plans for our time together like drawing lots of turkey hands and shopping for all the Thanksgiving trimmings.
This year we are planning to go to my dad’s house for Thanksgiving dinner, but he’s having some house issues that may cause us to shift dinner to our house last minute. It’s going to be a smaller gathering than we are used to, but I can’t wait to celebrate and spend the evening with everyone who’s able to join us! We are going potluck style this year with every family member chipping in to complete the feast- Ryne is planning to brine and bake the turkey and I’ll be making an appetizer, pies, and cranberry sauce.
Ryne and I agreed to hold off on putting up Christmas decorations until Friday morning, but that hasn’t stopped us from listening to Christmas music on repeat, putting up our Christmas tree, and turning on our Christmas lights every time it snows. The holiday season gets sweeter and sweeter as Quinn gets older. Baking festive treats with her and listening to her sing Christmas carols with all the wrong words sets my soul on fire. And I absolutely can’t wait to experience it all again with our little man!
