This island holds such a special place in my heart. It’s where Ryne and I got married and honeymooned six years ago and where we go for vacation. The memories of Quinn eating popsicles that drip down her arm and building sand castles late into the afternoon are priceless joys. We are usually “breakfast, beach, poolside-drink, repeat” people, but decided to change it up a little this time and explore the island. We took Quinny up to Haleakala where we all brought home some sweet sunburns. This trip also happened to overlap with our anniversary, so Ryne and I escaped to the other side of the island for a mini-getaway while my parents watched Quinn. We drove the Road to Hana on our actual anniversary, which was simultaneously breathtaking and terrifying! We made some lasting memories and it was wonderful to unwind and recoup, but I’ve got to say- there really is no place like home.
