It has been quiet on the blog lately because life has been anything but quiet. After shacking up with my parents for a year and a half during the construction of our new home, we finally moved into our house just after the 4th of July weekend and became homeowners once again.
It was total chaos and, admittedly, I called for help more than once. But with the help of friends, family, and movers we managed to unpack most of our boxes and install 28 light fixtures before leaving two days later for Prague. Quinn did not join Ryne and I on our trip abroad, which gave us some much needed alone time together.
We had a wonderful time eating and wandering our way through this spectacular city, but we weren’t able to completely relax knowing how much organization would be waiting for us when we got home. And the kicker? I volunteered to host a bridal shower for one of my sisters the day after we arrived home from Prague, which turned out great, but probably wasn’t the best timing.
We found a paint color we like and are slowly working on painting the whole house. Once we make a little more progress in our nesting process I’ll post a tour of our new place 🙂
