The day after school ended, we hopped on a flight to Maui for our annual summer beach vacay. This year, our trip overlapped with Quinn’s ninth birthday! We weren’t sure how she’d feel about that since we usually celebrate with our extended family and a party at home. But it turned out to be such a fun day!
There is a cute little town called Paia about an hour away from where we stayed with lots of independent shops and restaurants and a highly-rated sushi restaurant. After swimming at the beach and pool all day, we drove up to Paia for a yummy sushi dinner (per Quinn’s request). We sat on a patio situated under a huge tree with string lights all around. It was perfectly magical! Then we came back to the condo we were staying at for presents and cake. It was the perfect way to celebrate this sweet girl!
