Quinn 17 & 18 Month Update

Quinn is now well into her 19th month of life, but with all the excitement of the holidays my mommy brain got the best of me. So without further ado, here are some of the things Quinn learned in her 17th and 18th months of life.
Age: 18 months

Stats: Height: 31.5 inches (45th percentile). Weight: 23 lbs (45th percentile).

Clothes: 18-24 months

Favorite foods: tomatoes, cashews, soup and m&m’s.

Favorite phrases: Hold it (‘hoe-wd it’), bless you (‘bess you’), push it (‘poosh et’), walk outside (‘galk out-tide’), snuggle daddy bed/couch (‘nuggle daddy bed’). She repeats EVERYTHING we say and is constantly surprising us with new words. On Christmas morning before we went downstairs, the three of us were snuggling in bed and Ryne asked Quinn “who came to see you?” She replied “Santi Cause!” He asked her what she thought Santa had brought her. Without missing a beat, she said, “A BIG puppy!!” Ooh, sorry kid. Two little puppies will have to do

Favorite activities: Oh my, where to begin? She plays everything these days with such enthusiasm. She loves to push her baby stroller all around the house saying ‘daddy, pooosh et!’ She is also a big fan of playing outside, regardless of the weather. We frequently find her with her face pushed up against the glass saying ‘Snow. Boots. Jacket. Out-tide.’  She loves to bang on the piano, “sing” Jingle Bells, and make pretend (and occasionally real) phone calls to family members. We once caught her on the phone with the pediatrician’s office.

Signature moves: Every night when we lay her to bed, she says ‘Daddy!? eeshladebah,’ which roughly translates to ‘Daddy!? I love you’. It’s the cutest! She also has a funky little run that reminds me of Phoebe on Friends. Her left arm swings wildly while her right arm stays pinned to her side. When asked for a kiss that she is less than jazzed to give, she will just lean her forehead into our lips. Little stinker!
