This month is bittersweet. Every night we put our baby to bed and wake up to a little girl who looks more and more like a toddler. Next month our baby will be ONE!!
Age: 11 months
Stats: 19 lbs
Teeth: 6 giant teeth! She bears an odd resemblance to a dinosaur these days.
Words: Mama, Dada, night night, hi, kitty, puppy or “tee-tee”, and hot (complete with hand gestures). First sentence- “Hi dada!”
Sign Language: More, all done, and hot. We use the signs “more” and “all done” in reference to food. Quinn will use these signs in reference to anything. If Ryne stops tickling her she will sign “more.” When she is bored with a diaper change or when she wants me to end a conversation she will sign “all done.” So bossy.
New this month: Climbing the stairs. No need to go to the gym because we follow Quinn up and down the stairs all day long. Quinn also uses her bath letters to make calls to all of her friends (dad).
Sleep: Quinn has officially dropped her second nap. Most days nap time is two full hours sometime between 11am and 2pm. It is glorious. I no longer have to choose between a shower and getting things done. I have plenty of time for both. Mom win!
Food: I think we may be done buying baby food. Our girl will literally eat anything we make. Right now she loves avocados and meat. She is still drinking breast milk. No cow milk or honey until she turns one.
Nicknames: Moo, Mooshie Bear, and Quinny
Just for fun, let’s reminisce. One year ago, I looked like this…
