Autumn has been slow to arrive in Colorado this year. It’s hard to believe next week is Halloween because we’ve hardly had any of that cool weather we all know and love! Fortunately for us, our trip to the pumpkin patch last week was one of the few exceptions. The air was chilly and every tree was at the height of its colorful change. It was perfect for coffee sipping and pumpkin picking with the family.
We usually buy pumpkins from a local church, but decided to start a new tradition by going to a real pumpkin patch this year. Quinn absolutely loved it! What toddler wouldn’t? She went nuts hitting and sitting on all of the pumpkins.
After many unsuccessful attempts to pick up the larger pumpkins, she was thrilled to find one that was more her size. So of course, this little pumpkin (and two of his little orange friends) had to come home with us 🙂
Tons of parents brought wagons to tow their kids and festive loot. We looked like total rookies walking the mile to back to our car, in the mud, carrying a wiggly kid and several pumpkins. Note to self for next year. But it was super fun and memorable nonetheless!
