It has officially become a tradition in the Hammons’ household for Ryne and I take each of our babies to Europe before their first birthday. We took Quinny to France and Switzerland when she was a wee nine weeks old, Conrad (and Quinn) to France and Italy just before he turned three months old, and now we have taken Ivy to France and Italy just before her half birthday. Because apparently we are crazy AF! But each trip has given us so many amazing memories (probably largely in part to sleep deprivation). So when the opportunity arose for us to take a trip to Europe this fall, we were here for it!
The flight is always a challenge to some extent, but Ivy honestly did so well. We were both able to sleep some on the way there, which was a huge win. Ryne and I absolutely LOVE Paris. There are so many amazing cafes, gorgeous streets, and delicious restaurants we have fallen in love with that we make a point to re-visit every time we’re in the city. This trip was cool and rainy (as October in Paris usually is). We strolled up and down the Seine and popped into our favorite cafes for coffees and croissants each time we needed a break from the drizzle. On this trip alone, we walked close to 10 miles each day and rode the metro as much as possible. Ivy lived in the carrier and loved every minute of it. She napped throughout the day and snuck a few bites of mama’s croissants and crepes. I’m pretty sure she loved it 🙂
