Real talk. We have had so much going on lately and admittedly, I probably need to slow down a bit. I had one of those weeks this week. You know- the kind that calls for a large glass of wine and some mom confessions. So here are mine:
-After being a one car family for almost a year, we finally bought a second vehicle last week. We originally had our hearts set on a 4Runner, but after an underwhelming test drive we opted for a certified pre-owned X5. This thing looked brand new when we bought it (obviously the previous owner didn’t have a toddler). We hadn’t even had the car for a week before I hit a curb that left road rash on the wheel. I died a little inside when it happened.
-I am so ready for the holidays and I don’t care who knows it. I may have even listened to a Christmas carol or twelve at my desk. Don’t judge.
-I skipped the gym Tuesday morning because I stayed up too late watching The Bachelorette finale the night before. And then I ate peppermint patties and a grilled cheese for lunch. In that order.
-I am having serious anxiety over Quinn starting pre-school in three weeks. It will be so good for her to socialize with kids her age and I’m sure she’ll end up having a blast, but I’ll probably sit in my car in the parking lot and cry into my coffee mug until it’s time to pick her up. I’m not ready!
-Quinn had my phone for 5 minutes the other day while I took a quick shower and I am now the proud owner of 400 nearly identical photos of her leg. Def keeping them.
