Maui was colder than usual but just as wonderful and magical! Every trip we go on lately reminds me how much our kids are growing. For the first time ever, all three of our kids were able to swim in the pool while Ryne and I held hands in pool chairs under an umbrella. Conrad and Ivy were wearing life jackets, but it was so fun to see them all play freely without having to hold onto mom or dad’s shoulders. It doesn’t seem that long ago that toddler Quinny was feeding the koi fish her cheerios or that we were up in the middle of the night pacing a hotel room with baby Conrad or carrying baby Ivy down to the beach. The baby and toddler years can be so draining at times and there seems to be no end in sight. But babies don’t keep! Ryne and I managed to get out on a walk every morning, just the two of us. We even snuck in a New Year’s Day date at Ka’ana Kitchen, which is one of our favorite romantic dinner spots on the island.
