Age: 9 months
Stats: 16lbs 10oz (25th %ile), 27.5 inches (45th %ile) – very similar to our other kiddos!
New this month: Finally crawling (stanky-leg style just like her brother) and her first tooth! She is having so much fun being able to sit on the floor near her siblings and especially loves playing with her brother’s cars.
Language: Possibly saying night night, and everything else is “ma-ba”. We’re working on sign language, but right now she just flaps her arms like a little birdy when she wants more snacks.
Sleep: Ivy really is an amazing sleeper. She usually goes down for the night before 7pm and wakes for the day around 7:15am. But she has an uncanny ability to rouse just as Ryne and I have kissed each other goodnight and snuggled in for the night. She started sitting up in her crib, but can’t lay herself back down so I think that’s part of the problem. Also, moving toward one nap per day, but she’s pissed come dinner time if that afternoon nap didn’t happen.
Food: Still not loving food. We’ve introduced the gamete to her, from chicken, beef, rice, and eggs to cooked carrots, bananas, and raspberries. She’s semi-liking blueberries, chicken, and eggs. She absolutely LOVES puff snacks and is super enjoying water from a bottle. And still drinking breast milk like champ!
