Ivy Bea is four months old! At this time last year, we had just found out we were expecting and now here she is- growing, happy, and healthy. At her four month well visit she weighed in at 12lbs 15oz and was 24 & 3/4 inches long. Around the same purportions as Quinn, but with the same scrumptious cheeks as Conrad! She is pulling her feet to her mouth, rolling from back to front, and giving open mouth baby kisses. Definitely one of the sweetest milestones ever!
It has been so much fun watching her personality shine through this month. She has always been a vocal baby, but in the last few weeks she really started interjecting in our conversations with her squeaks and squeals as if she wants to chime in, which is SO ADORABLE and one of my favorite things about her. Breastfeeding and sleep are still going really well (knock on all the wood) and I am cherishing every moment I get to snuggle her up while she nurses. It is the sweetest!
Age: 4 months
Stats: 12lbs, 14.5oz (20th percentile), 24.75″ (60th percentile)
New this month: Giggling! It’s crazy how much her laugh sounds like Conrad’s. She is loving touching people’s faces and she is grabbing for everything. Including mommy’s hair. I’m probably due for a cut.
Sleep: So amazing. I honestly can’t believe how well she sleeps. Ivy spends most of her naps snoozing in my arms or her swing. She’s taking a late evening nap around 6pm, going down for the night around 8pm, and waking for the day around 7am. No complaints.
Food: None yet! Ivy hasn’t shown interest in food yet and with travel and all the craziness in our schedule lately, we didn’t feel a need to move into this fun phase quite yet.
Nicknames: Ivy girl, Squeaks, sweet girl
