Exciting things have been happening at the house the last few weeks. We have real walls and doors. The hardwood floors, cabinets, tile, trim and countertops have all been installed. It is starting to feel like a livable space! The exterior is nearly complete as well and we love how it turned out. Our closing date (originally scheduled for April) was pushed back to the second week of July. Even though we are bummed that we won’t be moving in sooner, we are thrilled to have an actual closing date!
I am already driving Ryne crazy trying to figure out where we are going to put our Christmas tree and questioning why we didn’t strategically place a Christmas tree designated outlet in the family room. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t imagine watching Christmas Vacation with a mug full of hot cocoa every time I walk in this room. Quinn has her own thoughts about the new house. She is very vocal about her concern that her bathtub is full of construction dirt. She’ll hurriedly say, “Tinny’s bath dirty! Eh, clean clean?”
I was so excited to see this marble floor go into the Jack & Jill bathroom. I might even be a little jealous of my children 😉
