Happy November 1st! I woke up this morning so full of gratitude for this new chapter. Last year we ended our Halloween night taking inventory of all the candy on the floor of our empty living room. We turned the fireplace on and the kids did cartwheels through our empty main floor while we played Christmas music. We were just wrapping up the planning phase of the renovation and so looking forward to the next Halloween when we’d be in our new house. And here we are! One year later, finally making magic in our own space again! It’s every bit as special as I imagined it would be.
In the month of October, we went to two pumpkin patches, watched every kid-friendly Halloween movie, baked, carved our pumpkins, decorated our front porch, and all of the fun things! Most of the work on the house this month was on the exterior, which gave us the sweetest reprieve from all the noise. We were able to have some much-needed family time this month.
