Another Halloween in the books! And holy cow it was a busy one!! We were a little late getting up decorations this year, but a couple of snow days this week (and an hour or two of Ivy napping in her crib) gave me time to get spider webs and bats up in the house. As is tradition in the Hammons’ family household, we watched Hocus Pocus on repeat for the entire month of October, painted pumpkins, and ate way too many treats. This year we carved pumpkins and made our annual stew the day before Halloween because our neighbors, whose son is in Quinn’s class, invited us up for dinner on Halloween night. The kids were so excited to have their little friends come trick or treat with them! Conrad did such a good job keeping up with the big kids and Ivy fell asleep in the carrier early in the evening. We called it an early night at a different neighbors house, where we shared a couple of drinks while the kids took inventory of their loot. We have waaaay too much leftover candy and I will definitely be nursing it through the New Year. Bring on the Snickers with my morning coffee!!
