Ryne and I agree this was the most fun we’ve had on Halloween since we were running around with pillowcases full of candy. We bought a TON of candy in anticipation of all the trick-or-treaters, but realized as the afternoon went on that our construction-filled neck of the woods probably wouldn’t draw a big crowd. So we left a big bowl of candy on our pumpkin-lit front porch and walked Quinny up the street to do a little trick-or-treating.
Our neighborhood really is a fun place to trick-or-treat because every house is lit up with spooky decorations and pumpkins, the dash between houses is short, and many of our neighbors host “hot spots” where trick-or-treaters and adults can stop in for hot apple cider, snacks, and adult beverages. The hot spot on our street was decked out like a haunted house, which was so fun and festive!
Quinn dressed up as Elsa, along with half of the other little girls in our community. And thanks to our unseasonably warm weather she didn’t even have to cover her dress with a parka like I did as a kid. She wasn’t all that excited by knocking on strangers’ doors and talking to them, but she loved the spoils 🙂
And now it’s officially time to kick off the most wonderful time of the year!!
