Eleven months! How can it be?! Our sweet boy is nearly a year old and reminiscing on my pregnancy and the first year of life with this little love has me feeling all the feels!
The biggest news this month — George is WALKING! He took his first steps on the 22nd, and every day he’s getting braver, taking a few more. If he’s anything like his big brother, I don’t think we’ll be needing the stroller much longer! I’ll never forget Halloween of 2018 — Conrad was just over a year and a half, and he walked over two miles trick-or-treating like a pro.
Age: 11 months
Stats: 22.5lbs and he’s officially moved on to 18-24 month sizes.
New this month: Walking — and it’s just the cutest!
Language: No new words yet, but I know the word boom is just around the corner!
Sleep: It’s a Christmas miracle- George slept through the night for a week straight! Two nights ago he was up in the night and back in our bed (I think it has something to do with the four teeth he’s cutting), but last night he slept through the night again. Praise God!
And George is officially down to one nap a day which sometimes happens around 10am and other days it’s closer to noon. Predictability would be nice, but I’ll take what I can get.
Teeth: Four new top teeth are almost ready to make an appearance!
Food: George is a little foodie and loves everything! He eats so much, and mealtime is so fun with this hungry, hungry hippo.
Nicknames: Boo-boo, Piggy, Georgie
Favorite baby items for an 11-month-old:
- We have an old rocking pig (that sadly is no longer sold) that he absolutely loves. This French bulldog one from Pottery Barn is similar and so freaking cute.
- This walker is pretty and a safe place to put George when I need to do something and want to keep him out of mischief.
It’s wild to think he’ll be a year old next month. Just soaking up these sweet, fleeting days with our little love!
