I am in denial that another school year starts next month! Even though it’s been complete chaos at times having all three of our babies home for a six month summer, I am really enjoying this once in a lifetime season with my kiddos. And I am determined to make this last month extra fun! Last night we took the kids to one of our favorite neighborhoods and walked the block with ice cream. A cool rain rolled in, so the weather was perfect. Quinn and Conrad ran wild and Ivy was too cute for words toddling through all of the puddles 🙂
Quinn will be starting at a new christian school this year and Conrad will be going into his first year of pre-school at the church next door! They are growing up so fast!! Even though I am not looking forward to waking up early five days a week to pack lunches and hustle our circus out the door, getting back on a schedule will be good for all of us. We just ordered Quinn’s school uniforms and I am LOVING all of the christopher plaid! Although most of her back-to-school items are dictated by her school’s uniform policy, I have been scoping out all the cute things to make the back-to-school season festive and fun! Today I’m rounding up my favorite back-to-school items for our elementary school girl!
Backpack || These FJÄLLRÄVEN backpacks are the cutest. They come in such fun colors. I’ve been eyeing this one in the mini version for Conrad.
Velvet Hair Ribbon || Quinn can only wear neutral-colored hair accessories, so we have to get a little bit creative. This velvet one is so sweet and feminine. For her birthday, I bought her this pack of scrunchies (suggested by my sweet friend Stacie) and I think she might be able to get away with wearing a few of those as well 😉
Navy Cardigan || Who doesn’t love a good v-neck cardigan? And this one has pockets, which is high on every girl’s list of favorite things. I also stumbled across this one, which would be so cute with a skirt on a chilly fall weekend.
Varsity Patch || Add one of these with your kid’s initial to their backpack or lunchbox for a retro twist on personalization.
ADA Twist, Scientist || I am a sucker for kids books (and baby blankets). I like to buy my kiddos a new book for each new season, including back-to-school. I love the illustrations in this one!
Rain coat || Cute, functional, and survives long enough to be handed down to the next baby.
Pom-Pom Key Chain || The 2020 version of the 90’s babies’ rabbit’s foot.
Pleated Skirt || I didn’t go to a private school as a kid, but I absolutely would have worn this. So stinking cute! And these are a necessity to keep the playground PG.
Sip Water Bottle || Vacuum sealed to keep liquids cool and fits perfectly in their backpack and small hands.
Vans || Quinn has to wear black or white shoes to school (no logos allowed). Fortunately, my husband is a white sneaker fanatic, and therefore, a wiz when it comes to getting stains out of white shoes. Aaaand we fully intend to Scotch Guard these suckers.
Enjoy the last few weeks of summer, sweet friends! Prayers for a safe, healthy, and tear-free start to the school year for you and your little loves!!
