Less than a week until Santa Claus comes to town! How can that be? We have been loving every minute of the holiday season over here. Chaos and all, it is the absolute best! Our house is decked out in Christmas cheer, including my favorite doormat of all time and festive books on the kids’ ever-growing book shelf. We took the kids to see Santa over the weekend. Conrad was skeptical, but Quinn was eager to give him her letter and was happy to get a candy cane afterward.
Today we decorated our gingerbread house and baked dozens of cookies just in time to kick-off our fun old fashion family Christmas weekend. Tomorrow we’ll head out in the old AWD sleigh for our annual drive around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights (hot chocolate and marshmallows included). Over the next few days we plan to drink a little eggnog and watch Christmas movies on repeat by the fire. Quinn is so excited she just might burst and Conrad will continue to diligently taste-test all of the presents.
