It has been a crazy month, so Ryne and I have been super looking forward to slowing down and enjoying the festivities as a family. This has to be my favorite weekend of the year- so many delicious treats, extra naps, and every festive affair imaginable in between. Quinn had school up until Thursday, so we have been catching up on all the baking, wrapping, and watching Christmas movies on repeat. The kids have been living in their bed head hair and Christmas jammies, which will always be high on my list of favorite things. Quinn got a chance to decorate her annual gingerbread house this week while Conrad napped and Conrad got to join in on the festivities the next day with a practice round of Santa’s cookies! Conrad ended up cracking the egg on the counter and both kids went to the bath covered in flour, but there really is nothing like watching your kids experience all the magic of Christmas right before your eyes.
Only two more sleeps until Santa Claus comes to town! Everyone is too excited for words and we are so glad we get to extend the season a bit this year when Ryne’s parents come to visit just after Christmas. Merry Christmas week to you and yours!
