We are in the HOME STRETCH of this pregnancy and I am feeling all the feels. Sad that this pregnancy is coming to an end (I LOVE being pregnant). Some nerves about labor. So, so excited and ready to meet our baby girl! Every night I go to bed wondering if tonight will be the night. My Braxton Hicks really pick up at the end of the day and because Conrad was a middle of the night baby I have a feeling this little love will be the same. We are done with all of the house projects we had hoped to get done before her arrival, so now the only thing left on our to do list is squeeze in as much fun (and sleep!) as we can as a family of four before D-day!
How far along: 38 weeks, 3 days
Gender: Girl
Weight gain: 18 lbs. My weight has been bouncing around a bit, but really hasn’t moved since my last update.
Maternity clothes: Oh yeah! Loving this robe my mother-in-law hunted down for me for Christmas. It is the softest, most comfortable thing in the world. I’ve basically been living in it and it’s the most important item on my hospital bag packing list.
Stretch marks: The only stretch mark I got during my pregnancy with Conrad seems to have spread a bit, but no new ones.
Sleep: Sleep is still surprisingly good! I haven’t made it to the “getting up every night to pee” phase yet. My back and right shoulder get sore, but other than that I’m sleeping really well.
Best moment this month: Soaking up every last minute of being pregnant and feeling her move.
Worst moment this month: Finding out my cervix hadn’t really progressed since my last appointment. Come on, baby!
Cravings: Sweets (surprise!). This week’s menu consisted of Nutella, smoothies, chocolate croissants, and my favorite scones lathered in raspberry jam.
Miss anything: So many things. But I know I will miss this baby bump and all the sweet baby hiccups & kicks more than anything.
Movement: All the time! And I love it so much.
Looking forward to: D-day! So ready for her arrival!
Labor signs: At my OB appointment last week I was 2cm dilated and 60% effaced. Lots of Braxton Hicks! Nothing painful or consistent yet. I get the vibe she’s pretty cozy in there 🙂
Both of the kids’ hospital bags are packed, just in case. And Ryne and I are each about 90% of the way packed. I have a checklist going of a few last minute items that still need to be packed in case my labor moves quickly and we are throwing things in our bags as we hustle out of the house like we did with Conrad.
