She is here!! It is with so much joy and excitement that I introduce the newest member of our family, Ivy Beatrice! She was born on April 16th at 2:45am, weighing 6lbs, 10oz (just one oz heavier than Conrad). She measured 20 inches long and has a head full of luscious dark hair, just like her brother.
Ivy came into the world in the very early hours of the morning, only 3 & 1/2 hours after my first painful contraction, which I’ll share more about in a later post. It’s safe to say we are over the moon in love with this sweet girl! She is the easiest baby by far- she loves to eat, sleeps like a champ, and is happy to be held and snuggled.
We are home and fully immersed in the wonderful sleeplessness of newborn-hood. Being third time parents, we know how fast this sweet phase will pass and have every intention of soaking up every drop of the 4th trimester. We are working on establishing a new routine as a family of five, which right now involves a lot of walks to the park, arguing over who gets to hold Ivy, and of course- donuts 😉
