Month two with our baby Ivy Bea and she seems to have found her sweet spot. After a few weeks of what we thought was colic, she has become such a happy and laid back baby. She is smiling so much, making the sweetest little baby noises, and loves afternoon naps with mama. But the biggest change this month has been longer stretches of sleep at night (hallelujah!). Here’s the update on our two month old!
I forgot how hard it is to not sleep through the night. God bless our sweet baby Ivy who has taken mercy on her very tired parents. By week 6 she started sleeping a six hours stretch from 7pm to 1am. One week later, she went 10 hours between feedings and we slept six hours- in a row! Absolute magic. Only a few days later she started sleeping through the night and she hasn’t gone back since (knock on all the wood!). Most nights she goes to bed around 9pm and wakes up around 7am.
Nursing is going really well. We had all the usual struggles in the first few weeks (latching, pain, chapped nipples, and a mastitis scare), but things really settled down around week six. And she is acquiring the sweetest little chub. At her two month old check up she weighed 9lbs 15oz (25th percentile) and was 22.5 inches long (65th percentile), which is just about where Quinn was at this age. But we both think she looks more and more like Conrad.
Happy two months, squeaks!
