Anniversary Trip to Dublin + Where We Ate

Ryne and I are home from our anniversary trip to Dublin. We had such a good time together running around the city and eating all kinds of amazing food! This city felt like a small town compared to the other European cities we’ve been to. The weather was cool and drizzly, which is Ryne’s favorite. Enjoy a few pics from our trip and a list of the restaurants we tried as well as a few on our list for next time!

Where we stayed:

The Shelbourne, a Marriott Autograph collection directly across from St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin’s equivalent of New York’s Central Park or London’s Hyde Park. It was very walkable to all the things and the decor was timeless.

Where we ate:
  • Vintage Cocktail Club– we went to this speakeasy on our first night in Dublin. We shared a few appetizers and clinked cocktail glasses to toast 12 years of marriage!
  • Doolally– this Indian restaurant was highly rated. The food was delicious, but I prefer a smaller restaurant.
  • The Ivy– we sat in a booth facing the front windows in this funky, fun breakfast restaurant. It was dreamy. Highly recommend.
  • Las Tapas de Lola– this restaurant came recommended by my mom. We hoofed it in a downpour for this food and it did not disappoint.
  • Carluccio’s– I thought this place was mediocre in both food and atmosphere. Wouldn’t go back.
  • La Caverna– looked so much cuter in the pictures than it was in real life, but the food was good! I think this is one of those rare places you hope to be seated in the basement because that’s where all their imagery is shot.
  • The Atrium Lounge– fancy tea inside a hotel. We had so much fun sipping and chitchatting for hours over tiny sweet treats and tea sandwiches.
  • Fade Street Social– this place got a lot of hype, but it was overrated IMO
  • Wall & Keogh- stop in for a coffee and a break from the rain
  • Random restaurant in the middle of an antique mall. Need to look through my pics for a name. So good and we had tons of fun window shopping for antique jewelry.
Places on our list for next time:
  • Lemon & Duke
  • Wilde
  • The Greenhouse
  • Moore Street Market- open-air produce and flower market
