We have two weeks left to soak up paradise. I’ve been working four 10-hour days at the pharmacy, which means I get three days off each week. Three lovely days to explore the island and watch this little one explore the world around her. She is such a sponge these days.
Most of our time together is spent beaching, playing in the pool and eating delicious food. We are loving shave ice from Ululani’s. This local fav is tucked back between the shops on Front Street in Lahaina and it totally lived up to all the hype.
This historic street is lined with little shops and beachside restaurants. We found shade under a banyan tree and savored our treats as we listened to the waves roll in. Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday.
Most nights, we’d take a stroll down to the beach to watch the light disappear behind the water. Quinn would want to hold both of our hands while we walked and she’d stop to collect plumerias along the way. When we finally reached the beach, she’d cling to her daddy to avoid getting sand on her feet. He’d teach her about the world and she’d pretend to listen. Oh, the joys of parenthood.
