Age: 14 months
Stats: Height- a little taller than my mid-thigh. Weight- at least as heavy as an arm full of groceries. That’s the best I can do without measuring devices while we are here in Maui.
Clothes: Mostly wearing 12-18 month sizes. And with fall fast approaching back home in Colorado I am so excited to start shopping for little sweaters, scarves and hats! She loves picking out her own outfit, which means she sometimes wears the same thing a couple days in a row. Might as well let her get away with it while she still can!
New words: Please (pronounced ‘tease!’) and thank you (‘day-duh’). We’ve been teaching her what all of the animals say. She loves to tell us that the lions say roar (‘raahhhhh’) and puppies say woof, woof (‘unh, unh’). She has started repeating words and phrases we use frequently. Ryne didn’t realize how often he says “Alrighhht!” until Quinn started saying “alrighhh” in response to him. I guess swear words are officially out of commission.
Favorite activities: Piggy back rides with mama, hanging upside down with daddy, and splashing in the pool! So of course, bath time is always a favorite. Foam letters and pool toys are frequent guests in the tub these days.
Favorite things:
Footless Pajamas. Now that Q is running all over the place (literally!), footless pajamas are the only safe way to play in the mornings.
Books. Quinn loves reading the same books over and over again (and over again). Where Is Baby’s Bellybutton and Pat the Bunny are two of her current favs. Both of these are interactive, so she absolutely knows if I’ve skipped a page.
Baby Einstein Radio. This toy has been well-loved from day one. With each stage of her life, it has brought a renewed sense of entertainment. Right now, she loves to push the button on her own and dance to the music.
Shoes. Her shoes, my shoes… throw a little dirty laundry in the mix and she will be happily amused for a full afternoon.
