Back in 2017, after following them for several years and falling in love with their style, we hired Studio McGee to e-design Quinn’s room. It’s been on my to-do list for forever to share some photos of this gorgeous space, but it was hard to find time to snap photos of it while it was clean and the lighting was good. So when we prepped our home for showings, I seized the opportunity to snap a few pics to share with you!
At the time that we decided to decorate this space, we had lived in our home for a little over a year. Quinn had just transitioned from a toddler bed to a big girl bed, and her room was falling really flat. We hoped to give her a space that could suit our growing girl at 3-years-old and at 13-years old. All the little details pulled together completely changed the feel of a space and I found myself wanting to spend more time here at the end of each day. The design was bright and whimsical while also feeling cozy and elegant. We love it just as much now as we did four years ago. Our design team also drafted a trim concept for the walls, but we never got around getting it up! So here’s to hoping we can carry that over to our new house.
Decorating this room was a big cost to us, but it was truly worth every single penny. Seeing this design come to life taught me the power of a well-dressed room. Truly good design can feel like magic and this room had power to shift my mood and make me feel good. If you’re on the hunt for a new piece or two, I linked everything I could still find below. In the case of discontinued items, I tried to find a similar item.
