It’s so hard to believe that our girl is TWO! After all the illness we had in the month of May, we decided to postpone Quinn’s birthday celebration until the weekend after her actual birthday and had a very low key day just the three of us. She didn’t seem to mind one bit that we were still wishing her Happy Birthday a week later, and thank goodness, because this is probably the last year we’ll be able to get away with it!
We had the best time celebrating our sweet girl! We kicked off the birthday festivities with pink frosted donuts and playtime followed by presents and cake. Quinn was so excited by her balloons and absolutely loved her sparkler candle (the perfect substitute for standard candles for un-coordinated toddlers). Ryne and I had so much fun watching her try to understand the concept of a birthday. All day she’d say, “It my birthday!” and point at her tummy. We kept asking her, “How old are you today?!” and she’d say “Two!” while sticking out her whole hand out as if it was stuck in a jar. The cutest thing ever!
Mommy and Daddy love you more than words could say. You are the silliest little strong-willed giggle monster around! Sometimes we wish time would stand still and you would stay little forever, but we feel so blessed to have the privilege of watching you grow! Happy 2nd Birthday, sweetest girl!
