Quinn turned THREE this week and I know I will probably continue to say this, but this really is my favorite age so far! She is easy, sweet, and I love listening to her use her wonderful imagination!
We threw her party together just days after returning home from Italy, so to make it easy on ourselves we decided host a donut-themed party in our backyard with close friends and family as our guests. Our backyard is the perfect space for it. We recently had the back patio finished in pavers and and bought a beautiful L-shaped couch to fit around our rectangular fire table. To keep the sun at bay, we bought a couple of striped umbrellas that gave us great shade throughout the party. In addition to donuts, we served bagels with cream cheese, a myriad of fruit accompanied by my step-mom’s incredible fruit dip, mimosas, milk in milk bottles, and of course- coffee.
In the few days we had to party prep, my lumberjack/carpenter of a husband BUILT an outdoor farm table for the party. The man literally went Home Depot, bought raw wood, and constructed a table from scratch in the evening hours after Quinn went to bed. He’s always blowing my mind with his fearless capability to take on and nail (no pun intended) our home projects. We put Quinn’s teepee in the yard for the kids to play in and set up a few yard games to entertain the adults (including cornhole game boards that Ryne also built).
