Target brought out the Halloween candy and we cut the pumpkins from our garden, which means it is officially fall in the Hammons’ household! We took the kids mum-shopping last weekend to pick up some flowers for our front yard and a few more to keep the pumpkins company on our front porch. The house is feeling festive and it’s making me so excited for everything that is ahead this season!
Every year we grow pumpkins in our garden, but this year we got a little surprise when one of the first pumpkins to grow turned out to be short, squat, and BLUE! It has brought me so much joy to watch them grow all summer long and they look so stinking cute on our front porch! Now I’m obsessed and I’ve tasked Ryne with building me a couple more garden boxes so we can grow more next year 😉
Fall is a fan favorite in our house and we fully intend to squeeze as much magic out of it as humanly possible. Ryne worked tirelessly to fix our front paver patio and we finally bought a few outdoor pieces to fill the space just in time to enjoy the cooler weather! Other things on our docket this season include pumpkin painting, costume making, a trip to the haunted Stanley Hotel in Estes Park (spooky!), as well as a trip to a local farm that I have been dying to visit. We’ll also have family-friendly Halloween movies playing on repeat from now until October 31st, including all of Hallmark’s Fall Harvest movies (oh yeah, Hallmark is our jam!). I made this fun fall/halloween bucket list for our family, but feel free to print it off and use it to make memories with yours!
