8 Month Bump

I can’t believe how close we are to the end! Baby girl is due on the 25th of April and, unlike with the other two kids, this time I fully intend to go into labor on my own (meaning no induction). Although I had an induction scheduled with Conrad, I ended up going into labor on my own at 39 weeks 3 days. If that happens again with this little love, she’ll be arriving Easter weekend!

How far along:  36 weeks

Gender: Girl

Weight gain: 18 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Living in the same three shirts right now and already dreaming about wearing this jumpsuit on our first postpartum date night. Just might have to buy it for myself 🙂

Stretch marks: None yet. Praying I escape this pregnancy with no new ones.

Belly button in or out: So out Conrad keeps asking if it’s an ouchie.

Sleep: I fall asleep fine, but once my limbs start to fall asleep from my lack of mobility I struggle to get comfortable again.

Best moment this month: Washing and putting away all the tiny, pink baby things, the breakfast dates hunky hubby and I have been going on every weekend, and the first signs of spring are setting my heart on fire!

Worst moment this month: Finding a lump under my tongue. I had it checked by my ENT and he reassured me that tumors in salivary glands are rarely malignant. I had an ultrasound that was inconclusive. I have an MRI scheduled for after the baby is born that will hopefully give us some answers. Praying it’s nothing scary and surgery isn’t necessary.

Cravings: Craving diet coke so bad! I have one every night while we prep dinner and it. is. amazing!

Miss anything: Being able to breath.

Movement: Some kicks to the ribs, but mostly I’m convinced this girl is sideways! Which honestly freaks me out a bit. I’ve read up on techniques to try to get her to turn, which all seem to involve me laying upside down on the stairs, so we’ll give those a whirl. I have an ultrasound in a few days, which will hopefully show a head down baby!

Looking forward to: Labor, delivery, and meeting our sweet girl!! Less than 30 days now 🙂

Labor signs: My braxton hicks are getting stronger. I actually had a few while I was sleeping last night. We’re coming to the end!!
