Ryne and I have birthdays just one day apart, which means double the candles, cake, and celebration every year. We had such a fun birthday weekend this year, complete with lots of back porch sitting and a night out (woah!). Ryne took me to one of our favorite restaurants for my birthday. We shared an entire bottle of wine, ate our food while it was actually hot, and topped the night off with my favorite ice cream. It was a spectacular way to start our 27th year. Quinny drew each of us beautiful birthday “cards” made from printer paper and an array of crayons. Ryne’s card was a picture of Quinn and Ryne, with Ryne holding Conrad. And where was I? On the back “with a baby sister” in my tummy. Wishful thinking. And Conrad slept in, which was a beautiful gift all it’s own.
